Association Benefits Company was established in 1991 as a full-service benefits company. Our office is located in Southfield, Michigan. We specialize in employee benefits for associations, trust funds, and employer groups throughout Michigan. Our clients range in size from sole proprietors to union groups with thousands of participants. Our goal is to provide agents, associations and their members with the highest quality health benefits, the most affordable rates, and unbeatable "Value Added" administrative services, all with the highest regard to customer satisfaction.

Who We Are and What We Do
We are an authorized independent agency with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and other benefit providers. We specialize in employee benefits for companies belonging to a variety of associations. We are bonded, insured, and under contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to provide billing and administrative services on behalf of our membership.
Not only do we provide excellent health, dental, vision and life benefits, but for a number of associations, we also provide invaluable administrative services. Our goal has always been to provide association members with the highest quality health benefits, the most affordable rates, and unbeatable “Value Added” administrative services – all with the highest regard to customer satisfaction.

We realize the importance of communication, and to effectively and confidentially communicate with our clients, Association Benefits finds it beneficial to work with one or two contact person(s) appointed by our clients. Not only does this allow for better communication, it allows us to build an on-going relationship with you and your organization. In addition to designating one to two contact person(s) of your own, we will provide you with the same – a dedicated member of Association Benefits that you will come to know and rely on when it comes to your benefits. On a monthly basis, Association Benefits Company retrieves our clients’ Blue Cross Blue Shield invoices off of the Blue Cross system to check for any variances. After the invoices are compared, we send out the invoices ourselves. This procedure is to monitor and provide a second look before our clients receive their monthly statements.

EMCS (Electronic Member Collection System) allows us to perform changes as necessary and in a timely, effective manner. The Blue Cross system can be accessed through EMCS for Association Benefits to make additions or deletions of members, member changes such as address changes, order ID cards, and/or change a contract’s status (i.e. Changing a contract to complimentary when Medicare is primary).

A financial analysis by Association Benefits can include, but is not limited to, an analysis of various benefit designs and their associated costs for the client, an analysis regarding funding the deductible in the case of High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) accounts, evaluating the annual increase upon renewal, and showing pricing trends over the past years.

Association Benefits knows that discussing benefits, enrollment, and/or plan modifications can be a challenge to communicate effectively. In order to fully service you, our client, and your employees, we make ourselves available to you when you need us. Whether you would like Association Benefits to come in to discuss your current and/or proposed plan, to assist with open enrollment, we are available to support you. Also, Association Benefits can be present at your organization’s meetings to provide the proper materials and information for the issues at hand.
